The BTT 6 Modules Package is a combined training programme that includes six GWO Basic Technical Training modules: Mechanical, Electrical, Hydraulic, Bolt Tightening, Installation Mechanical and Installation Electrical.
The BTT 6 Modules Package is a combined training programme designed to provide participants with the essential knowledge and practical skills required to perform basic technical and installation tasks on wind turbines under supervision.
The package covers mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems, powered bolt tightening, and both mechanical and electrical installation activities. Training follows the Global Wind Organisation (GWO) Basic Technical Training Standard and prepares participants to work safely and effectively under the supervision of an experienced technician, using correct procedures, tools and PPE.
Target Audience
This package is intended for individuals with no previous experience in mechanical, electrical, hydraulic systems, energy-powered bolt tightening or installation activities, as well as those wishing to upskill and apply their knowledge specifically in the wind energy sector.
The package is suitable for personnel preparing to work in wind turbine environments where basic technical knowledge, safe working practices and supervised task performance are required.
Prerequisites
All participants who attend a GWO training course must create a personal profile in WINDA and provide their WINDA ID to the Training Provider before completion of the training.
All personnel participating in this training shall be medically fit and capable of fully participating. Participants’ signatures confirming their medical fitness will be collected before the start of the training.
Before attending the full BTT 6 Modules Package, participants must complete the modules in the required sequence. BTT Bolt Tightening requires prior completion of BTT Mechanical. BTT Installation Mechanical and the combined Installation Mechanical and Installation Electrical delivery require prior completion of BTT Mechanical and BTT Bolt Tightening.
