Prerequisites

All participants who attend a GWO Training course must create a profile in WINDA in order to get a WINDA ID which they must supply to the Training Provider prior to completing the training. https://winda.globalwindsafety.org

All personnel participating in this training shall be medically fit and capable of fully participating. Before attending the BTT Installation Module participants must first complete both the BTT Mechanical and BTT Bolt Tightening modules.

  • Introduction to the training;
  • Introduction to Installation;
  • General procedures for working onsite with installation;
  • Installation environments;
  • Handling and storing;
  • Lifting operations;
  • Main component preparation, pre-assembly and assembly;
  • Principles of mechanical completion;
  • Principles of electrical completion including cable work;
  • Principles of hydraulic completion;
  • Principles of operation with external generators;
  • Introduction to handover to the commissioning.

  • Cutting and crimping cables;
  • Marking, routing and termination of all cable types;
  • Risks and hazards associated with handling and working with cables;
  • Handover to commissioning.
