I recently completed the DP Maintenance course, and it proved to be extremely valuable for both my technical understanding and practical skills. The training provided a clear and detailed explanation of Dynamic Positioning systems, including hardware architecture, redundancy principles, sensors, networks, and fault-finding methodology.
The instructors demonstrated strong professional knowledge and used real vessel examples, which helped us better understand common failures and how to troubleshoot them safely and efficiently. Hands-on exercises with real DP consoles and simulation of faults were especially useful, allowing me to apply theory directly in practice.
Overall, the course significantly increased my confidence in maintaining DP systems, performing diagnostics, and understanding system behavior during different failure scenarios.
