GWO BTT Installation Electrical

The GWO BTT Installation Electrical module, designed to provide participants with the knowledge and practical skills required to perform basic electrical installation tasks in a wind turbine installation environment under supervision.

Training follows the Global Wind Organisation (GWO) Basic Technical Training Standard and focuses on safe working procedures, correct PPE, handling and storage of components, lifting operation hazards, main component preparation, pre-assembly and assembly, electrical completion, and handover to commissioning awareness.

This module is intended for personnel preparing to work with wind turbine electrical installation activities and can be attended as a standalone GWO BTT Installation Electrical module.

Objectives

The aim of the GWO BTT Installation Electrical Module is to provide participants with the knowledge and skills required to perform basic electrical installation tasks, supervised by an experienced technician, using safe working procedures and the correct PPE.

After successful completion of this module, participants will have a basic understanding of wind turbine installation environments, handling and storage of components, lifting operation hazards, main component preparation, pre-assembly and assembly, electrical completion, hydraulic completion, operation with external generators, and handover to commissioning.

Prerequisites

All participants must be medically fit and capable of fully participating in the training.

Participants must create a personal profile in WINDA and provide their WINDA ID before completion of the training.

There are no additional GWO module prerequisites for attending the GWO BTT Installation Electrical Module as a standalone module.
